Who is the Most Expensive Player in WPL 2025?
Simran Shaikh became the most expensive player in the WPL 2025 auction held in December 2024. The soon-to-be 23 years old from Mumbai, Maharashtra, earned the biggest bid of 1.9 Crore Indian Rupees. Her opening bid was of only 10 Lac INR. At the end, Gujarat Giants secured her services beating other counterparts. Meanwhile, star West Indian lady cricketer Deandra Dottin grabbed the 2nd highest bid. She also became this year’s most expensive foreign star at the auction. Gujarat Giants women also purchased this Caribbean diva for a whopping 1.7 Cr INR. G Kamalini, who is also the youngest on the list, is only 16 but was the draft’s 3rd most expensive pick. MI Women included her in their squad for 1.7 Crore in the Indian currency. Prema Rawat is the other cricketer whose price went past a crore mark. She joined Royal Challengers Women for 1.2 Crore Rupees.
